All bookings are made with Paradisevillas. Your signature on the booking form will be taken as your and your party's acceptance of the following conditions:
1. BOOKING
A contract between you and Paradisevillas will exist as soon as a deposit of 30% of the property rental is paid, the booking form is sent signed to us and we have confirmed the booking.
2. PAYMENT OF THE BALANCE
The outstanding balance of your overall property rental cost must be cleared in full at least eight (8) weeks before the start date of your holiday with us. If the balance is not received by us by the due date, we shall be entitled to cancel the booking without prejudice to our claim for cancellation charges and to retain the deposit. For bookings made within eight weeks of arrival date, it is necessary for you to pay the total cost of your stay at the time of booking.
3. CANCELLATION BY YOU
It is agreed between us that should you wish to cancel all or any part of your booking, or that the booking is cancelled by us due to non-payment, then we shall be entitled to the following percentage of the stay cost: 8 weeks or more before arrival = 30 % (non-refundable deposit) 8 weeks before arrival = 100 %(deposit & balance) All cancellations must be sent to us in writing and signed by the signatory of the booking form. Security deposit will be fully refunded.
4. CANCELLATION OR ALTERATIONS BY US
This scenario is unlikely to take place but should it happen, you will be informed as soon as possible. If for any reason beyond our power we are unable to provide you with the property you have booked, we reserve the right to transfer to a similar or better property. However, if this is not possible or you do not wish to be transferred, we will cancel the booking and refund the amount paid to us for the property, but we will not be liable for any cancellation charges for travel arrangements.
5. MINIMUM LETTING PERIOD
In weekly terms, your minimum letting period is two weeks during high & peak season and of one week during low season, unless otherwise agreed between us during the booking procedure. In daily terms, your minimum stay cannot be less than three days unless specified otherwise. In general, exceptions may be allowed, however please note that they are entirely subject to our availability.
6. NUMBER OF GUESTS
During your stay in the property only those persons stipulated on the booking form are allowed to use it and the number of guests indicated in the booking form is strict. We are entitled to ask you to leave the property in case you host more persons than those stated in the booking form.
7. INSURANCE
It is a condition of booking that your party is covered by comprehensive travel insurance including coverage against trip cancellation and against personal injury. The appropriate coverage should be purchased at the time of the booking. Please contact your travel agent, travel consultant or insurance broker about this. Your signature on the booking form confirms that you are covered by such insurance.
8. ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE TIME
Arrivals and departures are on Saturdays only, unless agreed differently at the time of booking.
The official check-in time on the date of your arrival is from 3pm to 8pm and the check-out time is before 10am on the date of your departure. In case of flight delays or inconvenience while travelling, clients should contact us at the earliest. We cannot guarantee early check-ins or late check-outs unless confirmed by us in advance. For check-in and/or check-out assistance before 8am and after 10pm a fee of EUR50 is payable locally.
9. SECURITY DEPOSITS
A security deposit as stated in the price list is payable before the beginning of the tenancy, to cover during your stay the cost of any damages to the property or its contents. The amount can be paid either with the balance of the reservation, or with cash or credit card at the time of check-in directly to the keyholder. The amount less any applicable claims will be refunded to you in the same way it was paid to us. Cash deposits will be handed back at the time of check-out.
10. COMPLAINTS
We have visited and inspected each and every one of the properties. All descriptions of the properties featured in our website and brochure, are accurate and made in good faith. We decline all responsibility for any modifications made to the properties, their premises and/or their amenities by their owners, without our prior knowledge. We also do not accept any responsibility for the shortage of water supply, gas or electricity, nor for the breakdown of the swimming pool filtration system. Should any problems arise during your stay in one of our properties, every effort will be made by us to attend and assist you solve the problem, yet please be so kind as to bring it to our attention as soon as possible. Kindly note that it is practically impossible for us to help you with any complaints or problems you may have if you do not contact us during your stay with us. We regret to inform you that any complaints or problems brought to our attention only towards the end of your stay or after you have left the property, they will not be taken into consideration. Clients who choose to vacate the property without our prior knowledge waive all rights to any eventual refund or rebate.
11. BEHAVIOUR & DAMAGES TO THE PROPERTY
It is a condition of booking that the client signing the contract is responsible for his own and his party’s correct and decent behavior at all times during their stay in the property. It is also a condition of booking that the client signing the booking form is responsible for the proper use and respect of the property and its all of its contents at all times during his and his party's stay. Any damages caused to the property or its contents, either by you or any member of your party must be reported immediately to us and you will bear the cost of repair or replacement. Should the client and/or his party behave in a manner that is not acceptable by civilised standards, we retain the right to ask the client and his party to vacate the property immediately.
12. ENTERTAINING AT THE PROPERTY
Entertainment parties and/or functions involving a large number of invitees are strictly prohibited without our prior knowledge and consent. Unauthorized use of the property in any such way constitutes a clear breach of contract from you, in which case we retain the right to ask all guests to vacate the property immediately and your security deposit will be fully forfeited until all applicable compensation claims are fully assessed by the owner.
13. GUEST INJURY DISCLAIMER
Neither the owner of the property nor us (Paradisevillas) can be held responsible for any accidents or injuries occurred to all guests during their stay at the property under any circumstances.
14. CHILDREN POLICY
Children are generally accepted in our properties. However, some property owners apply certain child age restriction policy. It is your duty to notify us if there will be any children (and their exact age) in the party before finalizing a booking.
15. PETS
Pets are generally not accepted in our properties. However, they can only be made acceptable with the permission and authorization of the villa owner. Should you intend to bring one with you, kindly make sure to consult with us in the first place, during the booking proccedure. If accepted, you will be asked for an additional security deposit. Please be advised that in many properties there are already some pets.
16. SWIMMING POOL
The swimming pool, when available, will be kept clean and operational by the property staff. If your rental period is before 01 June or after 01 October, please check with us if the swimming pool is operational. Some but not all properties will provide pool towels for guests use. Beach towels are usually not provided.
17. CLEANING & MAID SERVICE
The property will be cleaned at the beginning of the rental period, before your arrival. However, guests should leave the property clean and in order at the time of their departure. If the property is not left in acceptable conditions the sum of EUR50 per bedroom will be deducted from the security deposit. Linen change and general maid service are provided once a week unless agreed differently at the time of booking.
18. EXTRA DAILY MAID SERVICE
Most of our properties provide at least two hours daily maid service, including twice weekly change of bed linen and bath towels. Should you require extra maid service, please advise us at the time of booking. We cannot guarantee availability at any time but we will do our utmost to satisfy your request. All quoted charges will need to be prepaid at the time of booking the specified extra service.
19. COOK SERVICE
Most properties do not provide cooking or catering services unless specified otherwise. Should you require a private cook or a catering service, please inform us at the time of booking. 20. WATER AND ELECTRICITY
As you will probably know, Mykonos is in general a dry island and water is a commodity to be spent wisely and charily during the summer months. Should you face any water supply problems during your stay we will do everything we can to reestablish in time its supply. Electricity can also be disrupted, if so, usually for a short period of time. However, we cannot be held responsible for any inconvenience created by events beyond our power.
21. TELEPHONE AND INTERNET SERVICE
Please note that some of our properties do not have telephone nor Internet services, unless specified otherwise. Hence, for your best convenience, you are kindly advised to travel with at least one mobile phone with you. In properties where internet service is being provided, we will do our best so that you enjoy an uninterrupted service throughout your stay with us. However, we cannot be held responsible for any problems caused due to local network malfunctions, interruptions or technical difficulties. Should that be the case, please be so kind as to contact us immediately and report the problem and we will do everything within our power to assist you with it.
22. PHOTOS OF THE PROPERTY
It is a condition of booking that any photos taken at any of the properties cannot be used for commercial or advertising purposes without ours consent and authorization.
23. VALUABLES
Valuables left unattended at the property are at client's own risk. Neither us (Paradisevillas) nor the owner (and the property staff) can be held responsible for their loss or misplacement.
24. LAW - JURISDICTION
In the event of any dispute concerning the terms and conditions of this contract, the parties agree that any such disputes shall be settled by International arbitration in accordance with the Rules of Conciliation and Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce.
